Privacy policy
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we process when you visit seffstudio.com or get in touch with us, why we do so and what rights you have. It is based on the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), in force since 1 September 2023, and — for visitors from the European Union and the EEA — on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Visiting the website: server logs
When you visit the website, the server of our hosting provider Infomaniak automatically records certain technical information in log files:
- your IP address;
- the date and time of the request;
- the page or file requested;
- information about your browser.
This data is used solely to keep the website secure and running smoothly, for example to detect abuse or fix errors. It is not combined with other data sources and is not used to identify you personally. It is kept for a short period and then deleted automatically. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The website and this data are hosted in Switzerland.
Contact form
When you write to us using the contact form, we process the information you provide:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the type of project you selected;
- your message;
- the language version of the site you are writing from.
Purpose. We use this data only to reply to your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a quote. It is never used for advertising purposes.
Legal basis. Processing is based on your request and the pre-contractual steps it involves (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), as well as on our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Transmission. Your message is sent to us by email at info@seffstudio.com, via the mail servers of our hosting provider Infomaniak, in Switzerland. An automatic confirmation email is sent to the address you entered.
Retention. We keep this data for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and follow up on our relationship, and then delete it, unless a statutory retention obligation applies.
The same rules apply if you email us directly.
Cookies and local storage
This website sticks to the bare minimum:
- The
seff-langcookie — a technical cookie that remembers the language you chose, so the right version of the site is shown straight away on your next visit. Lifetime: 1 year. - Your browser's local storage — stores the same language preference. The interactive demos may also save display preferences there (such as a light or dark theme) or the state of the demo (such as a mock shopping cart).
This information is only used to remember your preferences: it cannot be used to track you from one website to another and is not used for analytics. Demo data stays in your browser.
We use no advertising cookies, no analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) and no third-party trackers. Fonts are hosted on our own server: no request is sent to Google Fonts or any other external service when you visit.
You can delete cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. The website remains fully usable; only your language preference will be forgotten.
Sharing with third parties
We never sell, rent or pass on your personal data. It is only shared with third parties in two cases:
- with our technical service providers, to the extent necessary for their work — namely Infomaniak (website hosting and email), in Switzerland;
- where we are required to do so by law, for example at the request of an authority.
Your data is not transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA. For visitors from the European Union: Switzerland benefits from an adequacy decision of the European Commission, which recognises its level of data protection as equivalent.
We do not make automated individual decisions and do not carry out any profiling.
Your rights
Under the conditions set out in the FADP and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access — find out whether we process data about you and obtain a copy;
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- Erasure — ask for your data to be deleted;
- Restriction — ask for processing to be temporarily restricted;
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- Portability — receive the data you provided to us in a common, machine-readable format;
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, email us at info@seffstudio.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity to make sure nobody else gains access to your data, and we will reply within the statutory time limits.
If you believe that your data is not being processed lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the EU or the EEA, with the supervisory authority in your country.
Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), so the information you enter in the contact form is protected in transit. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. However, as no transmission over the internet is completely secure, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy, for example when the website or the law changes. The version published on this page applies. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
